Had another very easy drive from Cáceres to the outskirts of Seville today.
I decided against a hotel in Seville so I didn’t have to navigate the city traffic and will be in a great position to set off for my (short) drive to Tavira tomorrow.
Staying in a pueblo outside Seville means a bigger, cheaper place to stay and Casa Oliva is lovely.
I didn’t fancy driving into Seville by night, so ordered an Uber Pet ride. It was a bit pricey, but worth it to be deposited in Las Setas intact after a 20 minute drive I would have found a bit challenging on the return leg. The driver was a genuine dog-lover and insisted on showing me a photo of his Labrador. NB this is very different to experiences I’ve had in other cities trying to get a ride with my dog.
I could hardly believe I’d driven all the way from Derbyshire to Seville, but had to believe it when Jack arrived.
It was raining, and a school night, so we couldn’t make a evening of it, but we still managed to meet a few louche characters.
And hit a few dives.
